I love my Irish single malts/pot stills, bourbons and bourbon matured scotches in the summer. ill be opening an edradour 11 sauternes matured, tyrconnell 15 madeira and Penelope batch strength this summer

My fave bundle cigar is El Titan de Bronze short filler Toro bundles. They’re fantastic and rolled great. They smoke quick but are such a tasty and fantastic product. I’m not crazy about sample packs but any packs with Perdomo or JC Newman are the best brands to explore and BEST value per dollar. Side note… buy Ferio Tego too, insane blends and diverse lineup with many vitolas for anything you wanna try.

Lagavulin all the way!!! Just bought some more Offerman 4th edition tonight! $119 before taxes - not bad at all! 2nd case after sharing a lot from the first case. So much sharing. A couple of SMSA expressions for the summer! Yes to the Benromach Jeremy mentioned! The Lagavulin 16 is bliss - can't believe it's $200.00 with taxes. It's a love. I buy it anyway! So many elegant old scotches are lovely in the summer but to be honest I don't drink 'cool down drinks' in the summer. I love my scotch high quality and neat! Not a fan of canned drinks. I prefer Boubon cask scotch in the summer - all and sherry and bourbon, through the year. Always love an Octomore! Cheers!! :-)

Benromach ex-Bourbon single casks are my favourite. High aged? Even better!

If I get one from the core it will all have to depend on the year and bacth. I'm picking 21yrs and above, purely because the complexity springbank gets once it hits that 21yr above. The 2024 30yr is 100% bourbon and said to be the best of all the 30s they've released in modern times. You can't beat bourbon cask maturation.

Here in Sweden the price is the same, Standard or Comittee, but you can ofen onley bye one Comittee and it takes onley 4 secomds and they are sold out! ;) Dark Cove is a god whisky, but my favorit are Supernova 2009, 2010 is lika a not so good sister! ;) Just saing, The 10 Years old are a great Whisky! :) Cheers!

I just tried tamdhu 12 and 15 and then drank my Macallan 12 and 15 double cask at the same sitting. Holy cow they are replicas! But the Tamdhu is a little bit more flavorful and has more enhanced notes. I totally agree It’s better and is a Macallan killer. And I’m saying this after being introduced to scotch by Macallan and being a loyal Macallan fanboy. Can’t wait to try the Tamdhu 18!

I accidentally let my packs go rock hard. Does that mean I should leave them in the distilled water for an extra day or so

What makes that 28yr so sweet is the run cask for sure. Tastes like straight up fruit syrup, one of the most amazing springbank drams I tatsed. Having tried each of the 4x casks that went into that 28yr individually before being mixed, the run cask was mind blowing, but it wasn't whisky anymore as it went below the 40% abv level.

I heard they have lowered their sugar from 31grams to 4, back in 2020 😊

Here in BC in 2024 (and for some years now) the Original is $109 CAN and the Gold is $139 CAN and you need to wait in line the day of just to get a CHANCE at a bottle. I have never seen one with my own eyes but hope to this weekend.

Just tried this distillery for the first time (same as what you guys were sipping-Release 42). Wow, incredible stuff! Easily the best Canadian whiskey I’ve ever had (I’m very much a scotch guy). Reminiscent of a nice Glencadam which I love. Glad I bought a bottle!

I have tried the no. 7, gentleman's and single barrel (this was in 2015, the same yr you tasted it the 1st time!) and I totally agree with you! Here in Calcutta India you can't get the single barel :(

whats the best place to buy cigars in ontario, canada at a reasonable price? i went to local Havana Castle, they didn't have their sample pack so could not get it. Nice store but very expensive lol. Where can u get My Father or Perdomo sampler pack u mentioned above? Also some of the other stuff u mentioned above like the lighter, storage and other stuffs where can u get them?

Gold is my favorite followed by 18 and then Green. Blue is next followed by Black and then Red. I didn't like Double Black since it had too much smoke and peat. I avoided buying Red for the longest time due to negative reviews but I eventually tried it and enjoyed it.

Softing by ice , but not many, couse very hot drink , most hot than vodka. Class whisky very hot class but 40% also . 40% but ?

Kind of unfair call on American cigar reviews. Has nothing to do with not being able to sell Cubans , these guys review hundreds of cigars and I think they give fair opinions based on their individual taste. As for your tax being so high… only blame your voters. That’s entirely your fault for accepting socialism

Fellow Ontarian here! You've gott get up to Markham to a shop called Cigar Bodega. Their house blend, specifically their Cask 3rd edition is an unbelievable smoke.

Great review. I enjoyed watching this while sipping it. You gave some bang on tasting notes. I enjoy the 15 so much that it is a frequent pour from my shelf. I also agree with the Springbank "funk" suggestion. I was sure it was due to the worm tub condensers but alas, Benromach does not use worm tubs. Go figure.? The similarity is shockingly close which makes this a huge buy for me.

Do you just throw the cigars into the Tupperware so they can freeroam in there with the humidity control pack or do you use one of the cheapo Amazon boxes for storage and put that into the Tupperware

Awesome rant! Very cool shift by the distillery to bring this release out, i think this will be popular for them. I think he was referencing the Green Spot Quails gate Pinot Noir cask from B.C. I think we need some whisky rant t-shirts that have Rob's face and the caption "say Grappa to me daddy" lol.

I asked my friend to buy me cuban cigar in cuba. I handed her 1200usd. I told her don't buy from street buy only from official store. I said buy only Trinidad cigar nothing else . What she did ? She bought from tour guide two boxes of cohiba for 300usd . I asked why did you do that ? She said everybody got same cigar in my tour so I thought it was real. Thanks God she saved my 900usd.

Never had the Rye but I did have the Red Cask and I have to say it was without a doubt the absolute worst whisk(e)y I have every tasted. It felt like Gretz was trying to poison me!
